Volunteer Opportunities 

🚨 CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS AND COMMUNITY ACTION 🚨

Food distribution days are growing in size and need, so we’re all looking for volunteers who can assist with unloading/boxing food, taking information from folx, and spreading the word.

​

On Mondays and Fridays, unloading the trucks is at 9:30 am and distribution is from 5:00-8:00 pm (earlier if we have more help).

​

Amarillo Area Transgender Advocacy Group (AATAG) started this low barrier food distribution point because they saw a great need for providing people in the Panhandle with access to one of the most basic necessities, food. All that is needed is your name, whether or not you receive assistance (this will not impact whether you get food or not) and zip code. That’s it. No service to sit through, no classes to take. Just food to give.

Queervana is on the left and the San Jacinto Community Center is on the right from the outside but it’s in the same building.
